Assignment Details and Requirements:
Full-time schedule, 35 hours per week, with assignment dates extending through June 2027. Work primarily with elementary-aged students, with the possibility of engaging students in K-6th, middle, or high school—preferences considered based on availability. Provide intervention and support services to special education students in both individual and small group settings. Serve as a resource for school staff and families, promoting a positive, inclusive culture. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address academic, social, and emotional needs. Roles are onsite preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered for remote opportunities.
Desired Skills and Credentials:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university.
Possess one of the following:
Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP). Hold an active LARA license. Michigan Department of Education School Social Work Approval required. Submission of official university transcripts prior to placement. Experience within school settings or with special education populations is highly valued.
