Hours:

37.5 hours per week Are you a dedicated mental health professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students? We are seeking a compassionate and qualified School Social Worker for a full-time, onsite position in Detroit, MI for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting student success by delivering essential social-emotional support and leading critical student accommodation plans.

Key Responsibilities Student Support:

Deliver direct social-emotional support and evidence-based behavior interventions to both General Education and Special Education students. 504

Plan Coordinator:

Act as the schools primary 504 Plan Coordinator, ensuring accommodations are properly documented, implemented, and reviewed.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

Partner closely with school administrators, teachers, support staff, and families to foster a holistic and inclusive learning environment.

Clinical Assessments:

Utilize strong clinical assessment and intervention skills to identify student needs and develop actionable growth plans.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

Licensure:

Valid Michigan state licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW with school endorsement preferred).

Experience:

Proven experience working with K-12 students within a school or educational setting.

Skills:

Excellent communication, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills; strong ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Why Join Us?
