This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students in grades K-5, with the occasional involvement with middle schoolers. As part of a collaborative team, youll provide direct services, small group therapy, and consultation for students with diverse needsparticularly those requiring behavioral support.

Key Qualifications:

Active Michigan Social Work license Department of Education approval for school social work in Michigan Experience working with children, elementary through middle school age Strong background supporting students with significant behavioral or social-emotional needs Familiarity with small group and individual therapy in a school environment Excellent communication, organizational, and consultation skills

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver direct social work and mental health services to students, both individually and in small groups Address behavioral challenges through evidence-based strategies and supports Work with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultative services for staff and caregivers Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required compliance documentation Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports students emotional well-being Stepping into this role, you will play an integral part in equipping students with the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
