Job Summary Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and responsible Extended Care Aide to provide supervision and support for students participating in the school's before- and after-school care program. The Extended Care Aide helps create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Responsibilities Supervise students during before-school and after-school extended care programs. Ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior of all students. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate recreational, educational, and enrichment activities. Assist students with homework and other academic needs as appropriate. Monitor student attendance and maintain accurate records. Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and administration regarding student needs and concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming extended care environment. Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Support and model the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Sacred Heart Catholic School. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or related setting preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills. Ability to manage groups of children in a positive and respectful manner. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and student needs. Successful completion of all required background checks and diocesan Safe Environment requirements.
