Responsibilities Develop and maintain positive relationships with foster children, birth families, foster families, and community partners to promote stability and growth. Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, including those with developmental disabilities, to tailor individualized care plans. Provide ongoing case management by monitoring progress, updating records, and ensuring compliance with child welfare regulations. Facilitate training sessions for foster families on topics such as childcare, adoption processes, mandated reporting laws, CPR certification, and cultural competency. Assist foster children with daily activities, emotional support, and skill development to promote independence and well-being. Ensure safety by adhering to child protective services protocols and responding promptly to any concerns or incidents through mandated reporting laws. Drive regularly to visit foster homes, attend meetings, and participate in community outreach efforts that support child welfare initiatives. Requirements Experience working with children in foster care or related child welfare settings is essential. Knowledge of child protective services procedures, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare policies. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple cases simultaneously. Strong communication skills for working with children, families, social workers, and community partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and case management purposes. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for travel between sites and homes. CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
