Our After school site counselors are responsible for supporting his/her assigned group in various planned activities that will engage students and support the overall goals of the program. All staff receive a free membership to the Y.
Monday-Friday After Care:
2:30pm-6:30pm, 15-20 hours per week •Options are available to work in our before care programs as well. Job Description Must be available 5 days a week during program hours. Plan and implement meaningful activities that are age-appropriate and ensure they are implemented. Maintain accurate program documentation (attendance, sign in/out forms, behavior/incident/accident reports, as appropriate). Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings and special events at the Y (family nights) as needed. Maintain positive interactions and a strong level of communication with fellow co-workers, supervisor and also parents at the program. Job Requirements Experience working with school-age children required. Must have car and valid driver's license to get to and from designated site. Comfortable working with large groups of students in grades Pre-K and K-6. Comfortable leading a team of other staff at the program. Must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members to ensure the program is running at a high quality. Friendly personality and comfortable communicating with parents of students.
