Job Description
Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, contract-based role as a School Social Worker supporting elementary-aged students in a vibrant school setting. This full-time position (35 hours per week) starts ASAP and runs through May 28th, 2027, offering the opportunity to make a long-term impact while working collaboratively within a dedicated educational environment near Edgewood, NM. As a key member of the student support team, you'll help children thrive both academically and personally. Your day-to-day will focus on providing individual counseling, leading group sessions, attending IEP meetings, and assisting with crisis intervention to ensure students have the resources and guidance they need to succeed. Qualifications & Experience Master Social Worker license, active and in good standing PED certification as a School Social Worker in New Mexico Experience with elementary-age populations Strong background facilitating group interventions and crisis response Effective communicator comfortable working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Previous experience supporting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) a plus Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group counseling services for students Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support positive learning environments Attend and participate in IEP meetings and planning Assist in crisis intervention and help develop strategies to support students' emotional well-being Act as a liaison between school, families, and community resources Enjoy a rewarding role, with compensation ranging from $37/hr to $43/hr for qualified candidates.
