Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program Active, valid state licensure or certification required for school-based social work Prior experience working in school environments is highly desirable Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively manage a caseload and maintain confidential records Compassionate approach and dedication to supporting diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students Assess social, emotional, and behavioral needs impacting students learning and development Build effective partnerships with teachers, administrators, and families Develop and implement intervention strategies that address students challenges Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, such as IEP and 504 plan development Serve as an advocate for students connecting them to community resources and support services Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through prevention and crisis intervention
