This position plays an integral part in assisting KYFS in meeting the needs of its clients and the community that it serves by providing ASAM assessment, diagnosis, and individual, group, family and case management treatment services to youth and families in an outpatient/school based setting.

JOB TYPE/SCHEDULE

: Full Time or Part Time schedule available, Monday to Friday day shift with some evening work as needed to meet clients needs.

PAY :

Starting pay is 24.00/hr for less than 50 hrs and 26.25 for 50+ hrs. (Per WA State pay transparency law, the current pay range for this position is $24.00-28.00 per hour to allow for pay increases based on performance and length of service)

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide culturally competent outpatient substance abuse counseling to adolescents and their families. Administer ASAM assessments with youth Ensure complete, thorough, well documented SUD records in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards to track the level and quality of SUD services delivered into the EMR system (currently Credible) meeting required timelines. Facilitate treatment groups for assigned youth. Provide case management for assigned youth. Complete all progress notes and required paperwork in a timely manner. Attend and participate in all staff meetings, clinical consultations and in-service trainings. Seek continuing education and training to maintain state certification and/or related to providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents and families. Maintains solid professional community relationships, particularly in the Kent School District, justice system, and internal mental health department. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Registered with the State of Washington as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee in good standing. One or more years' experience working with youth and families in individual, family, and group settings. Valid Washington State Driver's License, acceptable driving record, personal automobile for use in job related transportation; current auto insurance meeting minimum Washington vehicle insurance requirements.

Excellent English communication skills:

written and verbal. Bi-lingual is a plus. Satisfactory completion of annual Washington State Criminal background check. Experience working with and appreciation for diverse populations. Acceptance of a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural and spiritual practices. Strong time management and self-accountability skills to meet deadlines, program responsibilities, contract requirements etc. Experience working in school settings preferred. Experience working with an EHR system, Credible preferred. Must be able to respect and maintain strict confidentiality at all times - HIPAA compliance required. Able to function independently and works well as part of a team. Must be able to work some evenings as needed to meet client needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office, over video, and/or a school environment with extensive periods of time sitting. Individual will use computer requiring hand/wrist/finger movement and viewing of computer terminal. Able to stand for periods of time during presentations and/or group facilitation. Flexible schedule including some evening hours required. Travel/transportation several times per day is required from location to location in performance of job duties. Able to lift up to 10 lbs.
