Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, strengths, and needs related to their illness. Provide evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, tailored to individual patient circumstances. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on the hospice team to develop coordinated care plans that address the comprehensive needs of patients. Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and coping strategies; empower them to make informed decisions about their care.
