Casa Treatment Center is a residential, outpatient, and sober living substance abuse facility headquartered in Pasadena. Casa is licensed by the State of California Department of Health Care Services and accredited as a behavioral health care program by the Joint Commission. Job Description The Per Diem Group Facilitator provides coverage for scheduled groups and staff absences within Casa Treatment Center's outpatient and residential programs. The facilitator leads psychoeducational and process groups that support clients in their recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders while ensuring compliance with agency policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements. Per diem, as needed. Must be available to cover morning, afternoon, evening, or weekend groups based on program needs. No guarantee of minimum hours. Competitive hourly rate based on education, licensure, and experience. Responsibilities

• Facilitate substance use disorder treatment groups using evidence-based practices, including: o Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) o Motivational Interviewing (MI) o Seeking Safety o Relapse Prevention o Life Skills o Recovery Education o Emotional Regulation o Trauma-Informed Care
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging therapeutic environment.
• Encourage client participation while maintaining appropriate group boundaries.
• Monitor client behavior and promptly communicate safety concerns to the clinical team.
• Complete all required group documentation, attendance records, and progress notes within agency timelines.
• Collaborate with counselors, therapists, case managers, nursing staff, and supervisors regarding client progress.
• Maintain compliance with DHCS, Drug Medi-Cal (DMC), Joint Commission, and agency documentation requirements.
• Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings as assigned.

• Wellness and Self-Care This position is ideal for licensed clinicians, associate clinicians, or certified SUD counselors who enjoy facilitating therapeutic groups and providing flexible coverage while supporting individuals in recovery. Education, Experience, and Credentials Required
• Registered or certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor (CADC, CATC, SUDCC, or equivalent), or
• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field with experience facilitating behavioral health groups, or
• Associate-level or licensed clinician (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist).
• One year or more of experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred.
• Experience facilitating adult psychoeducational and process groups preferred.
• Knowledge of ASAM Criteria, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Excellent group facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to establish rapport with diverse client populations.
• Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented treatment principles.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work various shifts with short notice. Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while facilitating groups.
• Ability to move throughout the facility.
