Ute Pass Regional Health Service District, Colorado Administrative Coordinator Ute Pass Regional Health Service District (UPRHSD) is seeking a full-time Mobile Crisis Evaluator to join its Mobile Integrated Health team. This field-based clinician provides community-centered behavioral health crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, care coordination, and follow-up services throughout the District's service area, including Teller County and portions of Park, Douglas, and El Paso Counties. The Mobile Crisis Evaluator partners closely with Community Paramedics, EMS personnel, law enforcement, healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, and community organizations to respond to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. The position conducts in-person and approved telehealth evaluations, assesses safety and clinical risk, determines appropriate levels of care, facilitates referrals, develops safety plans, and supports continuity of care through timely documentation and follow-up coordination. This role requires sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, comfort working in dynamic field environments, and a commitment to least-restrictive, diversion-focused crisis response whenever clinically appropriate. The ideal candidate is a fully licensed behavioral health clinician who is confident providing crisis assessment and intervention in mobile, community-based settings. They are calm under pressure, able to build rapport quickly with individuals and families in distress, and skilled at balancing compassion, safety, clinical judgment, and appropriate boundaries. Experience conducting mental health and substance use crisis assessments, including suicide, self-harm, and harm-to-others risk evaluations. Ability to determine appropriate dispositions using a least-restrictive approach, including community-based stabilization, voluntary placement, outpatient referral, withdrawal management or substance use treatment referral, or emergency involuntary hold when clinically warranted. Comfort collaborating with EMS, Community Paramedics, law enforcement, hospitals, behavioral health providers, social service agencies, and other community partners. Strong documentation, communication, de-escalation, and care coordination skills. Ability to work independently in rural and semi-urban field settings while maintaining situational awareness, professional composure, and patient-centered care. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychiatric APRN, or a closely related behavioral health field. Current, full, active, unrestricted Colorado licensure as an advanced practice behavioral health clinician, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist (LP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or equivalent (i.e., RN with Colorado Crisis Professional Training.) Provisional/associate-level licensure does not meet the requirement for this role. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; ability to travel throughout the District's service area in varying weather and road conditions. Current Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Ability to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screening. CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Experience in mobile crisis response, psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, or crisis stabilization services. Experience working collaboratively with EMS, fire service, law enforcement, or other first responders. Knowledge of Colorado behavioral health laws, emergency mental health holds, and involuntary commitment procedures. Experience providing behavioral health services in rural, frontier, or underserved communities. Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, community organizations, and social service partners. Knowledge of Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) and their impact on behavioral health and treatment outcomes. Experience with care coordination, case management, referral management, or discharge planning.

Additional Information Location :

Work is performed throughout the

UPRHSD MIH

service area and may include private residences, public spaces, healthcare and behavioral health facilities, vehicles, outdoor environments, and other community locations. The position may require travel through rural, remote, mountainous, and weather-affected areas.

Funding Notice :

This position is currently supported by State Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) Capacity Funding. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of funding. The current funding source is not guaranteed indefinitely; however, the District may continue the position if additional or alternative funding becomes available.
