Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic services. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals facing various mental health challenges. The Psychotherapist will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Duties Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients and facilitate positive change. Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in distress or experiencing acute mental health issues. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective case management. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, treatment notes, and progress reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on topics such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care. Engage in clinical research and data collection to contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices. Offer support for patients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and those requiring special education services. Stay informed about current trends in mental health treatment and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Valid licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credentialing relevant to the state of practice. Experience working with children and families is highly desirable. Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems for accurate medical record keeping. Knowledge of telehealth practices is a plus. Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis and behavior management strategies. Experience in crisis intervention and managing patients with chronic pain or complex mental health issues. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals facing gender issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
