Job Description
Responsibilities SummitRidge Hospital , a place for healing and hope provides quality behavioral health and addiction treatment services, mental health and substance abuse treatment located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Our inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient programs have helped adolescents, adults, older adults and their families. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Intake Counselor with recent behavioral health experience to provide PRN/as-needed coverage. The Intake Counselor will ensure all intake calls are answered promptly and courteously while delivering high-quality clinical support to patients, families, and referral sources. Key responsibilities include providing crisis intervention, telephonic triage, and clinical assessments; offering callers and families community resources and information; obtaining admission precertification; and conducting on-site assessments as needed. The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers, including other departments, physicians, and Emergency Departments, while working collaboratively as a team player to support exceptional customer service for patients, families, and fellow associates.
