Work Environment This role is primarily remote, with the flexibility of incorporating both telehealth sessions and occasional in-office days as required. You will utilize our advanced digital platforms and tools to connect with clients efficiently. Work closely with professional colleagues and stay engaged through regular virtual team meetings and clinical supervision. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations for clients enrolling in counseling programs, establishing individualized treatment goals and strategies. Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on both teens and adults, aimed at supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence. Maintain accurate and ethical documentation of treatment records while ensuring confidentiality of all client interactions and information. Participate actively in clinical supervision meetings to enhance therapeutic skills and address case management strategies. Provide crisis intervention and emotional support, equipping clients with practical solutions and community resources to navigate their challenges. Assure continuous monitoring and management of assigned counseling cases, tracking progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary. Facilitate access to relevant community resources and referrals, acting as an advocate for clients to secure the assistance they require. Engage in monthly data reporting and administrative tasks to contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the counseling department. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily centers around working with women, teens, and children who have either been directly affected by domestic violence or are at risk of such environments. As a counselor, you will use your expertise in Play Therapy to engage younger clients, facilitating their expression and processing of trauma in a supportive setting. You will make a tangible impact by empowering clients to rebuild their lives, fostering resilience and hope. Qualifications A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field is required. An active Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license is mandatory. Experience in individual counseling and family interventions with certifications related to therapeutic practices are strongly preferred. Must be available to work late afternoon hours, with a minimum of two evenings per week, as well as some weekend availability. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for any in-office duties or client referrals. Preferred Experience Experience and interest in providing Play Therapy services is highly desirable, particularly to engage with young clients effectively. Previous work experience in a telehealth environment, showcasing adaptability and proficiency with digital therapeutic tools. Familiarity with current best practices in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
