Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, fostering resilience and well-being through personalized treatment plans. Duties Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately diagnose conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management strategies. Provide individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions both in-person and via telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or co-occurring disorders. Maintain meticulous clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, clinical ethical guidelines, and medical records standards within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to advance evidence-based practices in behavioral health. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), psychologist (PhD/PsyD), or equivalent credentialing applicable in the region. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management strategies. Experience with crisis intervention, inpatient/outpatient settings, and telehealth therapy modalities. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and cultural competence.
