Pay:
$16.00 per hour Job description: Northern Human Services-White Mountain Mental Health Peer Support Specialist-ACT Full time, 35 hours per week Peer Support Specialist with Assertive Community Treatment team (ACT). ACT is a team-based approach delivering comprehensive flexible treatment and support to individuals with the most severe and persistent mental health challenges. ACT offers individuals struggling with mental illness an intensive community-based mental health program model that brings together a team of professionals with a holistic approach to treatment, focusing on a variety of social determinants of health including but not limited to housing, finances, medication management, natural supports, and legal issues to increase overall well-being and independence. As a Peer Support Specialist on the ACT team, you will share your personal lived experience with mental illness and/or substance misuse and your recovery journey to support and guide clients and to benefit the ACT team. You will use your personal experience to engage with clients, assist them with participating in ongoing supports and services, collaborating with individuals and their treatment team to develop an individualized recovery plan that supports and encourages engagement in treatment, aiding clients in living fulfilling lives not dominated by their mental illness. Services are client-driven and will be provided in a client's home, community or in the office.

  • Some computer knowledge, including Outlook 365 This position requires a valid driver's license, proof of adequate auto insurance, and the completion of criminal and background checks.
