Responsibilities Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery experiences to motivate clients and promote hope. Assist individuals with mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders through active listening, mentoring, and emotional support. Conduct crisis management and intervention when clients experience acute distress, ensuring safety and stabilization. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop client-centered recovery plans that incorporate harm reduction strategies. Maintain strict confidentiality of client information while documenting interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Support clients in developing life skills, fostering self-advocacy, and connecting them with community resources. Engage with culturally diverse communities to ensure respectful, inclusive, and effective peer support services. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral health, mental health counseling, addiction counseling, and social work principles. Proven experience in crisis management, crisis intervention, and harm reduction techniques. Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to mentoring and advocacy. Familiarity with working with culturally diverse populations and applying culturally sensitive practices. Knowledge of maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations.
