Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Clinical Counselor or Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges through evidence-based practices. As a Bilingual Therapist, you will play a key role in fostering positive change, promoting mental wellness, and supporting clients' journey toward resilience and recovery. Fluency in two languages (English and Spanish) is essential to effectively serve our multicultural community. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, play therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques. Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during emergencies while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring seamless patient care across various settings. Document clinical notes accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR Bear) systems while maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to inform evidence-based practices and improve treatment outcomes. Requirements Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related mental health field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent credential in the respective state or region. Fluency in two languages (e.g., English and Spanish) with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Minimum of two years' experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with hospital or clinic environments preferred. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards. Proficiency with telehealth technology platforms and EMR systems; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is a plus. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD care needs, addiction counseling, grief counseling, gender issues counseling, or chronic pain counseling is highly desirable. Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating compassion and professionalism; experience in trauma-focused therapy and behavior management techniques is essential.
