Job Description

River Rocks Recovery is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our growing team. We serve individuals facing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, and other significant life challenges. Our mission is to help clients build healthier lives through evidence-based treatment, compassionate care, and meaningful support. This is more than a counseling position. Our clinicians play a vital role in helping individuals overcome depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, addiction, grief, family conflict, and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are looking for professionals who are passionate about meeting clients where they are and empowering them to achieve lasting recovery. Position Summary The ideal candidate is comfortable providing both individual and group therapy services and thrives in a collaborative treatment environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent documentation, and a commitment to helping clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and recovery-related challenges. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and mental health evaluations Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical best practices Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and family counseling services Facilitate psychoeducational, process, relapse prevention, coping skills, and therapeutic groups Deliver evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and other therapeutic approaches Support clients experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions Assist clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, relapse prevention plans, and recovery goals Complete treatment plans, progress notes, treatment plan reviews, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation in a timely manner Collaborate with case managers, medical providers, peer support specialists, and other members of the treatment team Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development Respond appropriately to crisis situations and provide clinical intervention when necessary Maintain compliance with agency policies, ethical standards, and state regulations Qualifications LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, license in Ohio Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Experience working with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders Experience facilitating group therapy sessions Strong assessment, treatment planning, and counseling skills Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to build rapport with diverse populations and individuals facing significant life challenges Commitment to ethical practice, client advocacy, and professional growth Why River Rocks Recovery?
