Mindful Matters is a trauma-informed private practice in Tempe, Arizona, seeking a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who is clinically strong, motivated, and interested in building a long-term career in private practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an LAC who wants the autonomy of private practice while having access to clinical supervision, a professional office environment, practice infrastructure, referrals, and a collaborative clinical community. We are especially interested in clinicians who have already begun developing a professional referral network, have experience generating referrals, or have an established clinical niche they want to grow. What Makes This Opportunity Different At Mindful Matters, we don't want to simply hand you a caseload and tell you what to do. We want to help you build a sustainable clinical career. You will have the opportunity to: Develop your own clinical niche and professional identity Grow your caseload through your professional network and appropriate referral sources Receive referrals generated through Mindful Matters Maintain a flexible schedule that fits your life Work from a beautiful, professional private-practice environment Receive ongoing clinical supervision from an independently licensed clinician Collaborate with other clinicians Participate in case consultation and professional development Build experience in private-practice operations and ethical business development Develop specialty groups, workshops, or other clinical offerings as appropriate Work with populations that align with your training, interests, and scope of practice Established Referral Network? We Want to Hear From You. We are particularly interested in clinicians who have already developed professional relationships, referral sources, or a clinical specialty that can support the development of a private-practice caseload. If you are currently practicing elsewhere, we do not expect or encourage you to solicit, pressure, or improperly transfer existing clients. Client welfare and client choice always come first. If a client independently chooses to seek services with Mindful Matters after an appropriate transition and in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, contractual, and confidentiality requirements, we are happy to support that transition appropriately. We are interested in your professional network and ability to develop referrals—not in recruiting another practice's clients. Ideal Candidate We are looking for an LAC who is: Clinically competent and emotionally mature Warm, personable, and authentic Trauma-informed Entrepreneurial and self-motivated Interested in developing a long-term private-practice career Comfortable taking initiative in building professional referral relationships Interested in developing a specialty or niche Receptive to supervision and clinical feedback Organized and dependable Comfortable working independently while remaining connected to a clinical team Committed to ethical, client-centered practice Existing referral relationships or private-practice experience are strongly preferred, but not required. Clinical Interests We welcome clinicians with specialties or strong interests in areas such as: Trauma Anxiety Depression Attachment ADHD Women's mental health Adolescents Young adults Couples Family therapy Life transitions Self-esteem Relationship concerns Nervous-system/somatic approaches

Important Arizona Licensing Requirement This position is for an Arizona Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) practicing under the required supervision. Why Mindful Matters? Mindful Matters is a trauma-informed private practice built around compassionate, individualized care. We believe clinicians do their best work when they have both clinical support and professional autonomy.
