Job Description

Mental Health Counselor Portsmouth Community Counseling | Portsmouth, NH | Contract | Hybrid Portsmouth Community Counseling (PCC) is a private-pay practice rooted in relational, whole-person care. We're growing our team and have a contract position open for a clinician with a passion for individual work, trauma-informed care, and genuine clinical depth in their area of expertise. About the Work Our clients are typically adults navigating complex terrain: trauma, anxiety, mood concerns, relational and attachment dynamics, and life transitions. We currently have two couples therapists on our team and are looking to bring on an individual therapist with a trauma specialization to round out our clinical offerings.
What You'll Do:
Carry an independent caseload with autonomy over your schedule Provide individual therapy with a trauma-informed lens Integrate evidence-based frameworks into your clinical approach Participate in case consultation with a collaborative, clinically curious team
Who We're Looking For:
Active New Hampshire licensure (LCMHC, LICSW, or LMFT) Demonstrated clinical experience and specialization in trauma treatment (e.g., EMDR, ART, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, or similar modality training a plus) Familiarity with relational frameworks is a plus Non-shaming, curiosity-driven clinical style Self-directed and comfortable in an independent contractor structure
