Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents, identifying their specific emotional and psychological needs. Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions to address various challenges related to aging, such as grief, loss, and life transitions. Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate and implement personalized care plans that support our geriatric clients. Provide education to family members and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for seniors. Lead grief and loss counseling sessions for clients and their families, helping them navigate the emotional difficulties associated with end-of-life care. Implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions, using evidence-based practices that promote mental acuity in elderly individuals. Patient Population / Client Focus Our primary focus is on serving elderly individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes but is not limited to seniors dealing with grief from the loss of loved ones, those experiencing significant life transitions such as retirement or relocation, and individuals coping with age-related emotional difficulties. Our commitment is to provide empathetic, respectful, and effective counseling that empowers our clients to lead fulfilling lives as they age. Qualifications Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution. Valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license. Preferably, specialized training or credentials in geriatric mental health. Strong foundational experience in counseling services for elderly individuals managing diverse mental health issues. Preferred Experience Demonstrated ability to facilitate group therapy sessions tailored for seniors. Experience in grief counseling, preferably within a geriatric context. Familiarity with cognitive intervention strategies aimed at enhancing mental health among older adults. Previous involvement in collaborative healthcare teams within a community clinic setting. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this full-time role ranges from
USD 85,000
to 105,000 annually, with an attractive sign-on bonus.
