Description Position Overview We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic Special Education Program Mental Health Team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd. This full-time position allows you to work remotely while providing vital mental health services to students in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Work Environment This position is primarily remote, providing flexibility that enhances work-life balance. While you will primarily communicate and provide support through virtual platforms, you will also engage with students in school settings as needed. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students to identify their needs and challenges. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, targeting mental health concerns and strategies for successful integration within the school environment. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of students with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping mechanisms. Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's care. Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies and provide timely resources as needed. Deliver psychoeducation to students and their families, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues and available community resources. Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all records. Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing training to stay informed about the latest laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines pertaining to social work practice. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role as an LCSW will center around serving students with a variety of special needs, focusing on those impacted by ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD. By providing tailored mental health support, you will help these students thrive academically and socially in the school environment. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. A current and valid LCSW license in the state of Connecticut. Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and trauma-informed care practices. Proficiency in conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing effective treatment plans. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining professional boundaries in all practice areas. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong computer literacy. Preferred Experience While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates who have relevant experience in educational settings or working specifically with children with special needs are especially encouraged to apply.
