Job Description
Employment Opportunity Behavioral Health Clinician Full-time Exempt Responsibilities:
Provides direct services in all behavioral health programs, which include, but are not limited to mental health counseling, substance abuse/addictions, elder care, admissions, emergency preparedness and other special programs and projects. Provides crisis/suicide intervention by agency-provided telephone after hours with supervisor support on rotation. All interventions are addressed over the phone. Promotes public education and awareness by taking part in presentations for community groups, emphasizing behavioral health programs as directed byBehavioral Health/Psychiatric Services Director Schedule:
Position requires 2 evenings a week (11:00 pm- 7:00 pm) Monday through Thursday. Remaining days (including Fridays) are 8:30 am
- 4:30 pm.
Benefits:
Salary- $54,000
- $62,000 per year (Depending on Qualifications) Approximately 14.5 Paid Holidays per year. Paid Vacation Time
- accrued each month, available for use immediately, increases incrementally with years of service. Paid Sick Time
- 6 hours accrued each month, available for use immediately, unlimited carryover each year. Paid Personal Time
- 40 hours annually, available for use immediately, does not carryover. Group Health Insurance

Qualifications/Skills:
Positive, cooperative, and professional attitude. Ability to communicate by phone as well as in person including excellent diction, a helpful and culturally competent approach. Ability to provide mental health and substance use/addictions counseling to adults and youth. Reflects experience/interest in the culturally diverse population that the health department serves. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Master's degree in a human service-related field required. Experience in group, family & individual therapy or crisis/suicide intervention required. License as LSW or LPC required; must obtain higher licensure (LCPC or LCSW) within two (2) years of hire. License as LCSW or LCPC at hire is preferred; CADC preferred. Valid Illinois Driver's License required and must become a Kendall County Authorized Driver upon hire. Ability to pass the department background check.To Apply:
