Position Description:

Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc. (MCMS) is seeking a qualified

LPC / LSW PRN

Group Clinician to facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups within our IOP and NIOP programs. Clinicians will provide person-centered, trauma- informed, culturally responsive, recovery-oriented, and evidence-informed services to individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders, trauma-related concerns, and complex behavioral health needs. The clinician must have the education, licensure, clinical knowledge, and demonstrated experience necessary to appropriately recognize and address co-occurring and complex clinical presentations. The clinician must be able to provide clinically appropriate interventions, recognize changes in client needs or risk, exercise appropriate clinical judgment, and seek consultation or escalate concerns when needs exceed their scope of practice or competence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Facilitate structured therapeutic and psychoeducational groups consistent with client treatment plans and program requirements.  Provide interventions addressing substance use, mental health, trauma, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, relationships, recovery, and wellness.  Apply trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approaches.  Promote a safe, respectful, inclusive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.  Monitor client presentation, participation, group dynamics, and changes in clinical or safety risk.  Recognize and appropriately respond to co-occurring, and safety concerns. Follow established procedures for crisis intervention, safety concerns, clinical escalation, and emergency situations.  Seek supervision or clinical consultation when client needs exceed the clinician's scope of practice or competence.  Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and avoid imposing personal values or beliefs on clients.  Complete timely, accurate, objective, and clinically relevant documentation. Document services provided, interventions, client participation, response to treatment, and progress toward treatment goals.  Communicate clinically relevant concerns to the treatment team while maintaining confidentiality.  Maintain current licensure/credentials and practice in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, and professional standards.

Minimum Requirements:

 Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.  Current LPC, LSW, or higher applicable Ohio behavioral health license/credential.  Demonstrated clinical experience providing behavioral health services to individuals with mental health and substance use concerns, including co-occurring disorders.  Experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups, working with individuals presenting with complex or significant behavioral health needs.  Demonstrated experience utilizing trauma-informed approaches. Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to co-occurring and complex clinical presentations.  Strong clinical documentation, communication, therapeutic, and group facilitation skills.  Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.  Successful completion of applicable background and employment requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, trauma, recovery, and relapse prevention.  Knowledge of group counseling, crisis intervention, risk identification, and behavioral health documentation.  Understanding of cultural humility, social determinants of health, and barriers to behavioral healthcare.  Strong therapeutic communication, active listening, clinical judgment, and group facilitation skills.  Ability to engage diverse populations respectfully and without stigma or discrimination.  Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to clinical, behavioral, and safety concerns.  Ability to manage group dynamics and challenging situations effectively.  Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide reliable PRN coverage.
