Center Director (Midway Wood Location)
Job Description Salary Range:
$50,000 - $60,000 depending upon qualification and work experience. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for Scottdale Early Learning. The Center Director for Scottdale Early Learning (Midway Woods Location) will assist with the daily operations of the entire center; adhere to BFTS and NAEYC standards, CACFP, staff scheduling, maintain staff PTO, timesheet processing, billing/collection of tuition, invoice coding, collect attendance sign in/ sign out sheets, center tours backup, facilities management, coordinate staff meetings; ordering of center supplies and maintain supply inventory; and performing other related duties as assigned. Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education or closely related field (required) A Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in child care or related field.
- Able to take directions and follow-through to a timely completion of assigned task and responsibilities.
- Able to manage and work effectively with all staff.
- Able to relate to adults on various socio-economic levels.
- Must possess initiative and competence in working effectively without immediate supervision.
- Possess excellent health and is able to perform all duties necessary for the smooth operation of the center.
- Experience in supervisory position is preferred but not required. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with maintaining and ensuring program is in compliance with state licensing requirements and accreditation criteria.
- Assist in maintaining NAYEC and State of Georgia accreditation by participating in the renewal process.
- Maintain weekly tuition payments in Kinderline and meet with the Chief Executive Officer to review weekly.
- Maintain and submit reimbursement for USDA Food Program (CACFP).
- Maintains effective communication between center staff and parents.
- Determine center supply needs for orders, code invoices and monitor program supplies for center, EHS, PreK and Ready School programs.
- Oversees and manages staff schedules, substitute's list leave requests and weekly timesheets for payroll.
- Print and submit payroll time sheets and PTO forms to the Chief Executive Officer/accountant for payroll schedule.
- Maintains communication with Chief Executive Officer and Center Director (Warren Avenue) to keep him/her informed about overall program operation.
- Serves as Substitute Teacher in classrooms as needed.
- Enforces all health and safety rules/regulations with staff for the safety of the children and parents.
- Secures the Center nightly after all children, parents, and staff have left the building as needed.
- Regular status meetings with Chief Executive Officer, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements :
- Knowledge of child care administration including budgeting, enrollment, staffing, licensing and accreditation requirements, facility planning, and management, nutrition, and parent communication.
- Knowledge of supervisory techniques as well as interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact in a professional and mature manner with parents, faculty, staff, and community visitors.

- TB test clearance (To be renewed annually)
- CPR/First Aid Certifications
- Responsible for attending workshops, conferences, and all required training.
