Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate New Hampshire state certified Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our childcare center. This energetic leader will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while maintaining high standards of care and education. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and staff supervision. As the cornerstone of our team, you will foster positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners to promote the growth and development of every child in our care. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards to support childhood development and learning. Supervise and mentor teaching staff, ensuring classroom management, behavior guidance, and caregiving practices meet quality standards. Oversee daily center operations, including enrollment procedures, health and safety protocols, and compliance with mandated reporting laws. Maintain a safe environment by ensuring proper child supervision, cleanliness, and adherence to health regulations such as pediatric first aid and CPR certifications. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster a collaborative partnership. Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development in areas like special education, infant care, toddler care, and classroom instruction. Ensure all staff are trained in child supervision techniques, behavior management strategies, and emergency response procedures. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities. Strong background in early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and classroom management. Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification preferred. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Experience leading a daycare or childcare center with demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior experience in special education or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable. Pay:
$51,258.34 - $61,730.48 per year
