Job Description
Overview A private Upper East Side Family is seeking two seasoned, polished candidates to join the team and provide attentive care and support for their three children, ages 11, 9, and 6. This is an excellent opportunity for a career nanny seeking a stable, long-term role with a busy, active family. The family offers an attractive compensation and benefits package and is looking for someone who will take pride in becoming a trusted member of their household. All three children attend school during the day, creating a well-organized schedule that allows the nanny to thoughtfully prepare for the children's afternoons and evenings, coordinate activities, manage wardrobes and belongings, and help prepare for family travel. Schedule & Travel The family has additional homes in Southampton, Florida, and the Bahamas. The nanny should be comfortable traveling with the family both domestically and internationally, including trips throughout Europe. The family is flexible in designing the right staffing arrangement for the appropriate candidate. Depending on experience, availability, and fit, the role may be structured as: One full-time, live-in nanny responsible for comprehensive coverage; A two-nanny team, working together to provide complementary coverage, with the potential for one role to be part-time. This would be one weekday and one weekend. The family is NOT open to full rotational shifts. There needs to be one live-in at all times for coverage purposes Specific hours, rotations, and travel expectations are flexible for the right people! Responsibilities Coordinate school drop-offs and pick-ups alongside the family driver Manage after-school activities, appointments, and changing schedules Help keep the children organized and prepared for school and activities Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children Handle children's laundry and wardrobe organization Maintain organization of children's bedrooms, closets, and personal belongings Responsible for all travel aspects and care, such as packing, managing wardrobes, and unpacking Anticipate the children's needs and provide general child-related support Communicate and coordinate with parents and other household staff to ensure schedules run smoothly Ideally, both nannies will work 2 weekends a month, or be open to weekend coverage Qualifications Experienced in caring for school-aged children Naturally proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Warm, personable, energetic, and engaging Dependable, mature, discreet, and highly trustworthy Able to take feedback The nanny should be adaptable, discreet, and comfortable navigating a dynamic family schedule Requirements Flexible and able to adjust smoothly to changing schedules Comfortable accompanying a family on domestic and international travel Experienced working as part of a larger household team Salary and Benefits The family provides a generous and competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications, including: Competitive base salary depends on position and full-time vs. part-time Annual bonus potential Fully paid benefits Paid time off
