Location:
Peninsula, OH, 44264
Children:
Newborn twins born at 34.5 weeks
Compensation:
$45-$55/hr
Schedule:
6 to 8-week contract, 3 nights per week, 9:00 pm to 6:00 am
Start Date:
ASAP Inside Their World:
A nurturing and warm family is looking for an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to provide attentive, knowledgeable care for their twin daughters. Born at 34.5 weeks and weighing approximately five pounds each at birth, the babies are now settling into their routine together and are cared for side by side in their nursery. The twins are currently bottle-fed pumped breast milk and follow a consistent feeding schedule every three hours throughout the night. They are generally calm and easygoing babies who do not fuss often, allowing their overnight care to follow a predictable rhythm of feeding, burping, changing, and settling back to sleep. The family is looking for an experienced newborn professional who can confidently care for both babies overnight while providing the attentive, knowledgeable support that twins require. With the babies sleeping in the same room, the overnight caregiver will have a comfortable space nearby to rest between care periods.

The family also has two energetic boys, ages 2 and 4, though this role is dedicated exclusively to overnight newborn care.
Family Environment:
This family is looking for someone who can bring calm, confidence, and experience into their home during these early weeks with their daughters. They value consistency and are currently following a predictable overnight rhythm for the babies, with feedings approximately every three hours. They are hoping to welcome someone who can step into their established routine with ease while bringing their own knowledge and expertise to the role. The family appreciates a caregiver who is attentive and able to work independently. Above all, they are looking for someone they can trust to provide exceptional care for their daughters while allowing the household to rest and recharge overnight.
Who Thrives Here:
This role is ideal for a Newborn Care Specialist who is confident caring for twins and understands the unique rhythm of overnight infant care. The ideal candidate is calm, observant, and naturally attentive. They are comfortable caring for two newborns at once, recognize subtle cues, and can confidently manage all aspects of infant care throughout the night. Experience with premature infants is especially valuable, as is a strong understanding of newborn development and the needs of multiples. The right candidate brings a steady, reassuring presence into the home. They are comfortable working independently, take pride in maintaining a clean and organized nursery environment, and understand that excellent overnight care is about more than simply getting through the night. It is about creating a sense of calm, consistency, and confidence for both the babies and their parents.
Daily Rhythm:
The NCS will manage all newborn-related care overnight, supporting the twins through their established feeding and sleep routine while providing attentive, responsive care. Child-related responsibilities will also include washing bottles and feeding supplies, maintaining the nursery, and keeping the babies' spaces clean and organized. The caregiver will communicate with the parents regarding overnight feedings, sleep, and any notable updates.
