Job Description

Downtown Presbyterian Church Nursery:
435 W. Washington St. Greenville, SC 29601. Our nursery is looking for qualified, outgoing, and compassionate female childcare providers to join us on our Sunday morning nursery crew! We have a great crew made up of ladies who've been with us for 6-13 years and college students who work with us during the school year or over their breaks. So regardless of your age or stage, if you love kids you'll fit right in! We care for children from birth through their 4th birthday. Children are divided by age and skill level into 5 rooms. The rooms are full of fun colorful toys, plenty of books to read, and we never run out of snacks. Morning duties are shared by a team of 3 paid workers in each room and church members volunteer to help with child care. Nursery Coordinators are on site the whole morning to help, so we've always got your back! No one wants to get sick on a job, so we require everyone using or working in the nursery to follow our Wellness Policy. A full pay 4-6 week training period is provided to each new worker, so you'll have plenty of time to meet the other workers, get to know our kiddos, and "learn the ropes" of our morning routine. Basic child care skills like diaper changing, comforting/distracting kids, etc. are required. Since church members are helping with childcare, basic interpersonal skills are also required. In other words, can you make friendly small talk and give them directions on how to be helpful in the room? Some experience working with children in a setting like camp, daycare, etc. is preferred but not required. Applicants must be 18 yrs. or older. Pay is $100 per Sunday, but increases on holiday weekends throughout the year. We work from 8:10 am - 12:45 pm. We always have coffee and snacks/water available for you to enjoy! If you're interested and/or would like more information, please contact the Nursery Director, Tiffany Mauk here or via her email at dpcnursery@downtownpres.org.
