Skies the Limit Academy, LLC, a federal government contractor and childcare services provider, is seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Manager to join our team at our childcare center located on the Fort Meade VA Campus . We are looking for a team player who is passionate about providing nutritious meals and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children. Responsibilities Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary requirements. Ensure children with food allergies and dietary restrictions receive appropriate meals and beverages. Deliver meals to classrooms and assist with cleanup. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and laundry. Monitor food inventory, maintain pantry organization, and prepare shopping lists. Follow applicable food safety, sanitation, and childcare program requirements. Support classroom staff with cleaning, sanitizing, and occasional classroom coverage as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or designee. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or childcare preferred. Ability to follow meal plans, food safety procedures, and dietary restrictions. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to support the childcare team. Must successfully complete and maintain eligibility through all required state and federal background checks, including those required for employment at a federal facility. Join Our Team!
