WorldKids is a School where children, teachers and staff from all over the world come together to share their cultures and gain a sense of global awareness. At WorldKids School we are teaching in an "Immersion" learning environment focused on Spanish and Mandarin. Children in total immersion program work toward total fluency in the foreign language. In addition, in a full foreign language immersion program, children have an opportunity to pro-actively use and rehearse foreign language in a challenging, intimate, emotionally supportive environment that stimulates all their senses. WorldKids School also provides extended daycare and childcare in addition to our language immersion programs. Responsibilities:
- At WorldKids School®, the chef plans, prepares, and serves meals and snacks according to posted menus and nutritional guidelines.
- Accurately track meal and snack counts; deliver food to classrooms as scheduled.
- Collect trays and leftovers; dispose of them following health and safety standards.
- Conduct weekly inventory of food and supplies; submit requisitions to Management.
- Order food and supplies from approved vendors while adhering to budget guidelines.
- WorldKids School® ensures compliance with all applicable state and local health, safety, licensing, and nutritional regulations.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, sanitation, and food safety; model these standards for all kitchen staff.
- Keep the kitchen—including appliances, storage areas, and inventory—clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
- At WorldKids School®, we provide safe and appropriate alternative meals for children with allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as requested.
- Cover the classroom if required, along with another teacher. Qualifications & Trainings
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Bloodborne Pathogens training.
- Valid Food Handler's Permit (required for anyone serving food to children).
- Prior experience in food preparation, preferably in childcare, school, or healthcare settings (preferred but not required).
