Duties

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the childcare and classroom setting.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate and educate children.
• Supervise and monitor children to ensure their safety at all times.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic care needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Foster positive social interactions and behavior among children by modeling, redirecting, and teaching.
• Maintain a clean and organized childcare space.
• Moves around the childcare center each day giving teachers 10 minute breaks, lunch breaks, relieving them at the end of their shifts, and/or acting as a substitute when teachers are absent. Skills
• Experience in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and education for children.
• First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Previous experience in babysitting or care giving roles is a plus.
