Associate Pastor of Children/Student Ministries Location:
Moundville Baptist Church 150 5th Avenue P.O. Box 306 Moundville, AL - 35474= Moundville Baptist Church is seeking an Associate Pastor of Children/Student Ministries to provide leadership, coordination, and biblical instruction for an active and comprehensive ministry serving children from birth through grade 5 and students in grades 6-12. This position reports directly to the Pastor and supports the overall mission, ministries, and membership of Moundville Baptist Church. Position Title Associate Pastor of Children/Student Ministries. Reports To This position reports directly to the Pastor. Primary Purpose The Associate Pastor will plan, administer, coordinate, supervise, train for, and evaluate the Student and Children's Ministries of Moundville Baptist Church. Requirements 1. Sunday School Leadership Provide leadership for Sunday School ministries for children aged birth through grade 5 and students grades 6-12, including space planning, curriculum approval, resource selection, teacher recruitment, worker training, and weekly participation. 2. Student Worship and Discipleship Lead and coordinate Wednesday worship services for students in grades 6-12, including regular preaching/teaching, planning special guests or activities, and coordinating musical leadership. 3. Children's Ministry Coordination Coordinate Wednesday night ministries for children birth through grade 5, including planning space, approving curriculum and resources, and recruiting and training workers and teachers 4. Ministry Planning and Events Develop and maintain ministry calendars, including at least one special student ministry event each month for grades 6-12 and at least one special children's ministry event each quarter for grades K-5. 5. Churchwide Collaboration Work closely with the Pastor, Pastoral Staff, Secretarial Staff, Children's Council, Youth Council, Pastor's Council, and Finance Committee to coordinate ministry activities, submit schedules, review plans, receive feedback, conduct training, and prepare annual budget recommendations. 6. Pastoral and Congregational Support Participate in regular churchwide worship services, special events, Pastor's Council meetings, and provide appropriate pastoral care to the congregation in times of need. 7. Spiritual and Personal Expectations Demonstrate enthusiasm and support for the ministries of Moundville Baptist Church, maintain consistent personal spiritual growth, serve as a faithful example and witness in the community, support the church through regular giving, maintain proper family priorities, and perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor. Qualified candidates should be spiritually mature, ministry-minded, organized, collaborative, and committed to leading children, students, families, and volunteers in a Christ-centered ministry environment.
