Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, professional, dynamic, and compassionate Associate Professional for our Residential Treatment Staff Secure facilities for children or adolescents . These 24-hour, community-based facilities provide intensive, active therapeutic treatment for children with mental health, emotional, or substance-related disorders who require specialized, secure supervision. Residential Services:
Target Population :
Children or adolescents with mental health/substance abuse disorders who require removal from their home for treatment but do not require acute inpatient hospital care. "Staff Secure"
Definition :
Facilities are designed for, but not limited to, children who require continuous supervision by awake staff during sleep hours.
Purpose :
To provide a structured living environment focusing on behavioral rehabilitation, skill development, and eventual transition back to a family home or community setting.
Treatment Components :
Services include individualized treatment, training in self-control, communication, social, and recreational skills.
Regulation :
These facilities are licensed by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Health Service Regulation. Duties Transportation to educational and medical appointments [ Must have DL/ Car insurance, and reliable personal transportation ] Coordinate and supervise daily residential care activities, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Support residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and medication administration Lead and mentor staff members to deliver compassionate, consistent, and efficient care while fostering a positive team environment Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and inspections Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to optimize resident outcomes and satisfaction Manage operational aspects including scheduling, budgeting, inventory control, and resource allocation Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and resident experience Requirements Each facility shall have at least one full-time direct care staff member who meets or exceeds the requirements of an associate professional as outlined in 10A

(1). Supervision of paraprofessionals regarding responsibilities related to the implementation of each child or adolescent's treatment plan, and participation in service planning meetings. Proven experience in residential care facilities, with a focus on child and adolescent populations Strong background in supervision of staff and operations oversight Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures in home & community care settings Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Demonstrated understanding of healthcare regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements Experience working with individuals with behavioral issues and mental health disabilities is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and documentation efficiently Compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills to engage residents' families and multidisciplinary teamsJoin us in creating a supportive community where residents thrive!
