This role is tailored for experienced cardiac cath lab nurses ready to expand their expertise in a high-acuity environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Schedule:
40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30) Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per 6-week period Required call: 8 weekdays & 2 weekends in a 6-week period, with occasional additional shiftsRatios:
Days (1:4-6), Nights/Weekends (1:3) Flexibility to float, including to nearby partner medical centersQualifications:
Active RN license with currentACLS, BLS RCIS
certification highly preferred Minimum 3-4 years of scrub procedures experience Demonstrated competency in circulating Required experience in cardiac cath lab, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology procedures (see details below) EPIC, Mac Lab, and Siemens Artis 1 system proficiency Pyxis and SBAR familiarity Strong IV start skills preferredKey Responsibilities:
Perform and assist with cardiac cath lab procedures: balloon angioplasty, stents, thrombectomy, filter placement, pacemaker/defib device, left/right heart catheterizations Interventional radiology procedures: stents, angioplasty, vascular studies, hemo dynamic monitoringElectrophysiology:
cardioversion, pacemaker insertions Scrubbing, monitoring, circulating during cases Utilize advanced equipment such as EKOS and CSI systems Care for adult and geriatric patients in high-acuity and emergent settings Float as needed to different unitsBenefits and Travel Perks:
