Job Description

Residential Assistant
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Residential Assistant will be responsible for overseeing residents and providing relevant clinical treatment. The Residential Assistant will work under the supervision of an individual designated in paragraph (K) of rule of the Administrative Code (i.e. LICDC, LCDCIII, etc.). In providing the best possible atmosphere for clients, the Residential Assistant will ensure that the treatment is appropriate to client need, that the client's progress is monitored and demonstrates appropriate treatment outcomes, and that documentation of treatment progress is maintained in a timely manner and in a fashion adequate to provide evidence of medical necessity for treatment as well as progress toward identified goals. All services will be provided under the supervision of the Residential Assistant's supervisor. The Residential Assistant will staff clients with Program Director/Supervisor as they arise, as well as staffing all progress and concerns in weekly group supervision sessions. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Residential Assistant will be expected to do the following:
DUTIES:
1. Case Management - Residential Assistant will become familiar with, and adhere to, the job description pertaining to Case Managers 2. Crisis Intervention - Residential Assistant will demonstrate knowledge of Crisis Intervention Techniques 3. Screening 4. Requesting urinalysis/lab analysis 5. Intervention 6. Outreach 7. Adjunctive alcohol and drug services 8. Other Duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Clinical Director.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Assess client's needs and progress throughout each shift to ensure that the treatment course continues to meet the needs and demonstrate progress. Maintain compliance with residential handbook including monitoring of residents. Model and encourage appropriate behaviors including verifying completion of chores and activities of daily living (i.e. performing room checks, teaching life skills and monitoring meal preparation). Participate in residential treatment team meeting as requested. Coordinate with clinical supervisors and housing coordinators as indicated to problem solve and meet consumer needs. Ensure the completion of all documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
This shall include the following:
a. Progress notes (both counseling and case management) to be completed by the end of the day. b. All documentation shall include provider signature and credentials, and, when required, supervisor signature and credentials. c. Other as determined through the program development process.
Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hour
