Job Description
The Camphill School Beaver Farm Transition Program is seeking a full-time student aide paraprofessional to join our team. TCS Transition Program is a residential and day school for students ages 18-22 with moderate to severe developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to create wholeness for children and youth with developmental disabilities through education, extended family living, and therapy so that they may be better understood, they may more fully unfold their potential, and they may meaningfully participate in life. Beaver Farm staff work alongside students to engage in meaningful work activities in our farm, gardens, craft studios, and life-skills programs. In addition, staff will assist students with personal care and behavioral management as needed. We are looking for a dynamic individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of others and is respectful and supportive of students with special needs in context to our educational program. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors rain or shine, being creative, and is culturally responsive. Our typical hours are Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM. We look forward to hearing from you!
Qualifications:
Experience in caring for others Reliable transportation Interest in special education Kind personality and temperament Ability to work as a team member High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred. PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, Arrest/Conviction Report, Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release, FBI Fingerprinting, and TB clearance required.Benefits:
