Job Summary The Street Outreach Worker works as part of the Street Outreach Program (SOP) team to address the needs of runaway, homeless, trafficked, and street youth (RHTSY) through street-based and site-based outreach, as well as a Drop-In Center. Youth in need of housing, behavioral health services, physical health services, HT intervention and more will be connected to care by the SOP case manager. Outreach is performed in teams of two to three outreach workers traveling to previously identified areas where RHTSY are present and other areas frequented by street youth. They carry backpacks with supplies for basic needs, such as: safer sex packs, food, hygiene and first aid supplies. Outreach workers are specifically trained to approach youth safely and without judgment, utilizing Positive Youth Development (PYD), Youth Empowerment, harm reduction, and trauma-informed approaches. Outreach is scheduled consistently so that RHTSY can predict where and when the teams will be on the streets or at specific sites. The primary goals of the project are: 1) to increase young people's personal safety, social/emotional well-being, and self-sufficiency, 2) to help youth build permanent connections with families, communities, schools, culture, and other positive networks, and 3) to reduce sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and HT incidents among RHTSY. Job Duties Outreach

• Provision of street-based, school-based, and activity-based outreach to: Youth ages 11 - 17 who have run away from home or are at-risk of running away. Young adults ages 18 - 24 who are homeless or at risk of being homeless
• Staff the Drop-in Center for youth and young adults Other Duties
• Assist with replenishing and maintaining supplies for the program, including the Drop-in Center
• Maintain detailed records related to the duties of outreach and drop-in services
• Maintain a positive working relationship with Agency partners and donors
• Ensure Agency vehicles used for outreach are clean and have fuel
• Maintain client confidentiality Work Schedule This is a part-time position (12-15 hours per week) with flexible hours .

Weekend and evening shifts are expected, 3-4 days per week, in order to meet the needs of our clients. Pay $17.50 per hour part-time Qualifications An ideal candidate will have outgoing, personal, and relational skills, to appropriately and respectfully engage with the youth that are served through Youthworks. This position is about building relationships with youth and the community.

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
• Minimum of high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Must be dedicated to the Positive Youth Development model
• Must be able to work competently with youth from multiple backgrounds
• Outgoing and compassionate personality that can engage with youth in crisis
