MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree

  • AND•two (2) years' experience as a Supervisor in social welfare planning;•OR•Bachelor's degree•AND•four (4) years' experience as a supervisor in social welfare planning;•OR•At least eight (8) years' experience as a Supervisor with Genesee County Community Action Resource Department;•OR•An equivalent combination of education and experience deemed acceptable by the GCCARD Director.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.

JOB SUMMARY

Plans, organizes and administers the operation of the Neighborhood Service Center Programs; this position is exempt and appointed by the GCCARD Director; works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of GCCARD; performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

Trains, supervises and evaluates the Neighborhood Service Center Program's staff in the performance of their assigned duties; Develops, implements and monitors the financial and statistical reporting systems for all Neighborhood Service Center Program operations; Develops and submits annual refunding proposals for the Neighborhood Service Center Programs; Develops, implements and monitors Neighborhood Service Center Programs operation's policy to ensure compliance with federal, state, county, agency and contractual requirements; Makes presentations to various decision-making groups such as the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, social welfare agencies and public service groups to secure funding, provide project information and network support.
