FullTime/Part Time https://www.eaglerockfamily.org/ The Life Coach position in the Transitional Living Program/Independent Living (TLP/ILP) at Eagle Rock Boys Home is responsible for mentoring and guiding youth ages 16-21 as they transition toward independent living. This role focuses on developing basic life skills, promoting responsibility, and preparing residents for adulthood. The Life Coach serves as a positive role model and support system, helping youth achieve personal goals and long term success. This is a fulltime position with a rotating schedule including overnights. Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday Shifts include evening and overnights. The weekends include coming in at 3pm on Friday and not leaving until 8am on Monday. With this work schedule you would work 2 weekends a month and have 2 weekends off a month. Flexibility is important.
Job Duties:
Daily Life Skills Training Teach and assist youth in areas such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, time management, job readiness, and interpersonal communication. Help residents set and achieve weekly and monthly goals related to independent living. Guide residents in making healthy choices and managing daily responsibilities. Program Compliance & Documentation Accurately document resident progress, incidents, and daily logs using computer-based systems. Ensure medication logs, activity reports, and goal tracking are maintained and updated timely. Supervision & Mentorship Provide consistent structure, accountability, and support within the home. Monitor curfews, enforce house rules, and help youth resolve conflicts constructively. Build trusting, professional relationships with youth while maintaining healthy boundaries. Transportation Transport residents to work, appointments, job interviews, and community activities as needed. Collaboration & Communication Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including case managers, supervisors, and counselors. Attend staff meetings, training, and planning sessions. Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and external providers.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in social services, education, or a related field preferred. Minimum age of 25. Experience working with youth or young adults in residential or transitional settings preferred. Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must pass background checks, drug screen, CAN report and meet all Alabama DHR requirements. Work a rotating schedule including overnights, and weekends.

You will be staying on site specific days a week responsible for taking boys to work, school, activities, etc. Life Coaches serve as daily support for young men preparing for adult life, and flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the needs of the youth and the home.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
