Job Description

Description:
About the Role Behind every patient who finds the right care at the right time, there is a relationship that made it possible. That is what a Liaison builds: real, lasting relationships with doctors, hospitals, and care facilities that refer patients to Sierra Home Health and Hospice. These relationships are earned over time through trust, consistency, and follow-through, so that when someone needs care, Sierra is the first name that comes to mind. It is sales work, but it is also deeply human. Liaisons often speak with people navigating major health transitions, and doing that well takes emotional intelligence, confidence, and drive. It is also work that pays: full-time Liaisons can earn up to six figures through base pay plus performance incentives. The Liaison in Training program is how you get there. This paid, three-month training track is designed to develop Sierra's next generation of Liaisons from the ground up, with no healthcare background required. You will learn sales fundamentals, referral development, and healthcare relationship-building through direct mentorship from experienced Liaisons on our marketing team. From week one, you will gain real, hands-on field experience. This is more than a job. It is a career-building credential. Our training model is designed to become the community standard for how healthcare liaisons are developed, so what you learn here can carry weight wherever your career goes next. At the end of the three months, you will be evaluated on your readiness for full Liaison responsibilities to determine fit for a full-time role. Key Responsibilities ? Complete a hands-on, three-month training curriculum covering sales fundamentals, referral development, and the industry knowledge you need, with no prior healthcare experience required ? Shadow experienced Liaisons in the field and observe real referral visits with physicians, hospitals, and care facilities across Las Cruces ? Build core referral development skills, including relationship-building, follow-up discipline, and territory management, under direct mentorship ? Start building your own supervised relationships with referral sources as you progress through the program ? Learn to communicate with empathy and clarity, especially with families navigating a difficult health transition ? Study the competitive landscape and learn to represent Sierra's mission and services with confidence ? Track your own growth through learning milestones and regular competency checkpoints ? Represent Sierra's mission and brand professionally throughout Las Cruces's care community
Requirements:
What We're Looking For ? A natural comfort striking up conversations with people you've just met ? Resilience — you don't let a "no" slow you down for long ? Real empathy and emotional intelligence, especially in hard conversations ? A coachable mindset — you take feedback and put it to work fast ? Self-motivation and follow-through, without needing someone looking over your shoulder ? A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally ? A high school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, in any field Why Join Us At Sierra, we're a nonprofit built around one mission: bringing high-quality home health and hospice care to the Las Cruces community we call home. This program is our investment in the next generation of people who carry that mission forward. You'll get paid to learn a new career, with real mentorship every step of the way and a growth path that doesn't stop at three months. We offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, a 401(k), and mileage reimbursement. If you're driven, coachable, and ready to build a career around helping people through some of life's hardest moments, we'd be honored to help you bring out the courage in others.
