Job Description

Housing Manager Specialist Position Summary The Housing Manager is responsible for the daily operation, supervision, safety, cleanliness, and compliance of four residential housing properties. The Housing Manager ensures that residents follow all established rules, regulations, policies, and expectations while maintaining a safe, clean, respectful, and structured living environment. The Housing Manager will also supervise one Housing Employee and provide direction, training, and support to ensure that all assigned responsibilities are completed properly.

Workday ends at 12:00 noon Schedule may be adjusted as needed based on housing needs, inspections, resident concerns, emergencies, or special circumstances. Primary Responsibilities 1. Oversee Four Housing Properties Conduct regular visits and walkthroughs of all four houses. Check the condition of bedrooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, exterior areas, and other assigned spaces. Ensure houses remain clean, orderly, safe, and properly maintained. Identify maintenance, safety, or repair concerns and report them promptly. Follow up on reported maintenance issues until resolved. 2. Resident Check-Ins and Monitoring Conduct routine resident check-ins. Monitor resident compliance with house rules, schedules, and established expectations. Address concerns, conflicts, or violations in a professional and respectful manner. Document significant resident concerns and actions taken. Communicate important resident issues to management when necessary. 3. Room Checks and House Inspections Conduct scheduled and/or routine room inspections in accordance with company policies. Ensure residents maintain their assigned rooms and personal areas appropriately. Check for cleanliness, damage, safety concerns, unauthorized occupants, prohibited items, or other policy violations. Document inspection findings and communicate corrective actions when needed. 4. Enforce Rules and Regulations Ensure residents understand and follow all housing rules, policies, procedures, and regulations. Address violations consistently and fairly. Provide verbal or written warnings when appropriate according to established procedures. Escalate serious or repeated violations to management. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries with residents. 5. Daily Documentation and Logs Maintain an accurate daily housing log . Document resident check-ins, room checks, inspections, incidents, maintenance concerns, rule violations, and follow-up actions. Record important communications and activities occurring at each property. Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, objective, and professional. 6. Supervise One Housing Employee Provide daily direction and assignments to the Housing Employee. Monitor completion of assigned duties. Assist with training and onboarding. Review work performance and provide constructive feedback. Ensure the employee follows housing policies and procedures. Coordinate schedules and responsibilities to ensure all four houses receive appropriate coverage. 7. Safety and Emergency Response Monitor properties for potential safety hazards. Report emergencies, unsafe conditions, property damage, or security concerns immediately. Follow established emergency procedures. Assist residents and staff in understanding emergency procedures. Maintain awareness of fire safety, emergency exits, smoke detectors, and other required safety measures. 8. Maintenance and Property Care Identify maintenance needs during routine house and room checks. Submit or communicate maintenance requests as required. Monitor cleanliness and general condition of the properties. Follow up to ensure repairs and concerns are addressed. Help prevent unnecessary property damage through resident education and regular monitoring. 9. Communication Maintain professional communication with residents, staff, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other appropriate parties. Communicate changes in policies, schedules, expectations, and housing procedures. Report significant incidents or ongoing concerns to management promptly. Maintain confidentiality regarding resident information and housing matters. Additional Duties as Needed Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs. Complete house orientation for new residents. Maintain house keys, access procedures, and assigned housing records. Assist with preparing houses for inspections. Participate in staff meetings and housing-related training. Assist with resolving resident conflicts. Help coordinate cleaning, supplies, and basic household needs. Monitor inventory of household and cleaning supplies. Assist management with special projects. Perform other housing-related duties assigned by management. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties. Ability to enforce rules fairly, consistently, and professionally. Strong observation and documentation skills. Ability to handle resident concerns and conflicts calmly. Dependable, responsible, and punctual. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Basic computer and recordkeeping skills. Previous experience in housing, property management, residential services, supervision, case management, or a related field is preferred. Performance Expectations The Housing Manager is expected to maintain a professional presence at all four properties, ensure residents are following established requirements, maintain accurate daily records, promptly report concerns, and provide effective supervision of the Housing Employee. The overall goal of the position is to maintain safe, clean, orderly, compliant, and well-managed housing while supporting residents and protecting the property.
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per week
