This position does not include benefits Reports to: Executive Director Position Summary The Service Administrator serves as a primary point of contact for individuals and families seeking assistance from CAPS. This role assesses each person's immediate needs, connects applicants with appropriate community resources, and coordinates emergency financial assistance when eligible. The Service Administrator also offers practical support, encouragement, financial coaching, prayer when welcomed, and a compassionate listening ear. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Intake and Assessment Conduct individualized intake and assess each applicant's circumstances, strengths, available resources, and immediate needs. Determine appropriate next steps in accordance with CAPS policies, program guidelines, eligibility requirements, and available funding. Coordinate emergency financial assistance when appropriate and properly document decisions and services provided. Provide basic financial coaching and practical recommendations consistent with CAPS values and program approach. Treat every applicant with dignity, compassion, professionalism, and confidentiality. Resource Navigation and Community Connections Maintain working knowledge of local programs, benefits, and referral resources. Connect applicants with relevant community services and follow up when appropriate. Identify new resources and keep referral information accurate and current for staff and volunteers. Coordinate with the Night Shelter Facilitator to assess guest needs and connect guests with appropriate resources. Program, Data, and Team Support Work within approved program budgets and promptly communicate funding or budget concerns to the Executive Director. Accurately record client contacts, assistance, referrals, and outcomes in required logs and the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Support the Executive Director in preparing accurate monthly program reports. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to improve service delivery and organizational processes. Support program goals and priorities established by the Executive Director and Executive Board. Community Relations Represent CAPS professionally when engaging churches, partner organizations, community groups, media, and the public. Help strengthen community understanding of CAPS' mission, services, and role in poverty alleviation. Build and maintain productive relationships with professional, civic, faith-based, and private organizations. Required Qualifications At least two years of experience in human services, poverty alleviation, community development, social work, case management, or a related field. Experience serving people from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn and accurately use HMIS and other required systems. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, manage competing priorities, and work effectively as part of a team. Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
