Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and facilitate the Center's alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention program, integrating services into the Center's broader programmatic functions Educate and counsel students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program Administer the Center's drug testing program to help maintain a drug-free environment Develop and coordinate community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse Provide comprehensive, individualized case management to support student progress, retention, and program completion Establish supportive, mentoring relationships with students throughout their enrollment Counsel students individually and in group settings on substance abuse Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with all HIPAA laws
