Our Clinical Department is seeking therapists (LPC/LCDC/LMFT, LCDC_I) to provide group and individual therapy to patients with substance abuse disorders.

Position Summary:

At ATC, Clinicians are responsible for providing direct therapeutic care, facilitating group process sessions and group educational skills sessions for our clients and their families in a outpatient chemical dependency treatment facility. Clinicians will also carry a personal caseload of clients. Our full continuum of Care includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

Essential Functions:

Provide individual and group counseling sessions for clients to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, making life changes and document clients' progress. Specific clinical services will include facilitating: Process Groups, Educational/Life Skills Groups, Experiential Learning or Recovery Activities, Co-occurring Disorders, and Family System Groups Cultural competency, including experience providing services to members of BIPOC or LGBTQ community. Conducting assessments, treatment planning, group and individual therapy sessions applying sound theoretical knowledge and utilizing best management techniques. Engaging in quality treatment team meetings in conjunction with medical staff. Communicating effectively across departments in order ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.

Education and Experience:

All counselors are expected to have licensure as follows: a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, OR working to acquire one of these licenses with at least 1 year of experience with substance abuse treatment services.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Candidate must hold a valid and current Texas license. Candidate holds an advanced degree Candidate has multiple years experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis patients.
