JOB DESCRIPTION.

Help shape a better world for our youth in San Diego. We are looking for a youth leader sub who exudes creativity and resilience to create an environment for youth that inspires, motivates, and engages youth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a drive to help them realize their fullest potential. If you are aspiring to become a teacher, social worker or are interested in a childcare-related career, this position is a great place to start. We are currently looking for a part-time (PM shift) candidate to sub at a variety of school sites throughout San Diego, CA.

JOB COMPLEXITY.

Supervise day-to-day activities of youth in the program Lead enriching activities such as interactive games and arts & crafts Uncover new and engaging ways to assist youth with homework Provide assistance/coverage at multiple locations throughout San Diego

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.

Must be 18 years of age Must have 6 months experience in either an after school program OR group child care setting Must have 48 completed college units OR pass the District's Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam ( a basic math and literacy test ) Must have a valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification upon hire Ability to travel throughout the county with the flexibility required to meet job duties

COMPENSATION.

Starting Rate :

$22.25 per hour (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience) Benefits includes a 403b retirement plan plus match, and CA Paid Sick Leave in addition to hands-on training, virtual courses, and live presentations.
