PRIMARY FUNCTION

Work with an assigned caseload of up to 20 youth to provide support, mentoring, and evidence-based interventions that build upon strength areas and encourage growth in challenge areas. Convene and facilitate groups that emphasize positive behaviors. Provide one-to-one mentoring and support to youth on assigned caseload. Participate in training, collaboration with peers, and development of meaningful and trauma informed activities and community engagement. Support Club functioning by responding to Club youths' behavioral challenges.

KEY ROLES

(Essential Job Responsibilities)

• Maintain confidentiality of youth by following organizational policy and best practices.
• Create a referral system to maintain caseload of members based on assessed needs.
• Initiate, complete, and maintain required assessments, documentation, and other case file requirements; keep accurate records, rosters, and data, as required.
• Develop youths' goals based on assessment and consultation with youth.
• Develop individual and group goals; link goals and outcomes to provided curriculum.
• Document youth's goal progress and goal attainment.
• Conduct groups based on prescribed outcomes. Ensure each youth participate in one group per week.
• Provide one intentional one-to-one interaction with each youth on caseload, weekly.
• Provide, receive, and address parent/guardian feedback for youths' behaviors using evidence-based and collaboratively developed practices or interventions.
• Collaborate with HERO team to develop and facilitate organizationally consistent group and community engagement activities, with emphasis on supporting Social Emotional Learning, Positive Behavior Support, and Trauma Informed Practices.
• Respond with skill to behavioral concerns of Club youth, as needed.
• Provide outreach, content, and facilitation of parent/guardian events.
• Plan and organize HERO field trips, graduations, and events.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Communicate a minimum of once per week with the Therapist regarding status and progress of caseload members, status of required documentation, planned activities, and other situations that affect or impact members or the Club.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in training and staff development activities.
• May participate in special programs and/or events.
• May drive Club van.
• May be required to help out in multiple areas as needed.
• Clean area as needed.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:

Maintain close daily contact with the Therapist, and Club staff. Participate in collaborative relationships with HERO case managers and behavioral health staff. Assist Club staff with behavioral concerns when needed.

External:

Consult with community social service providers, community groups, schools, and other external resources as needed.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Associates degree or higher
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or obtain within first three months of employment)
• Mental Health First Aid training/certification within the first six months of employment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to navigate and use technology including video conferencing and data management platforms.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Hobe Sound Club Schedule - Monday-Friday with hours between 9:30 am and 6:30 pm

Typical Non-School Day & Summer Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday and a shift would fall between the hours of 7:30AM to 5:30PM. Hours may vary depending on the location or situation of the day. Occasional weekend work.
