General Function Under the direction of the Director of Childcare, the group leader will be responsible for the organization, delivery, and quality of YMCA after school child care and summer day camp programs and upholding the requirements of the NC 5 Star State licensing standards. Duties and Responsibilities Communicate to parent's necessary information about their child's day. Maintain developmental centers and child care classrooms Maintain snack records for EC Canada Assist with Before School Staff rotation Assist in maintaining the parent pick-up table Monitor and engage in games and activities with children Maintain staff to child ratios Ensure the children's safety Follow daily schedules Supervise daily set up and clean up of classrooms and outside areas; report to Director of Childcare any damages of space, equipment, or supplies Refrain from double standards as they pertain to other staff, as well as children Know and understand responsibilities of a counselor Fill out incident and accident reports and other behavior management issues

Requirements:
Education, Training, and Experience Must be 18 years of age Must have earned a high school diploma or GED Complete basic BSAC Training Complete required hours of in-service training Obtain CPR/First Aid Certifications Physical Abilities Must posses auditory, verbal, and visual capabilities to adequately communicate via telephone and in person Disclaimers Must complete successful criminal background check and drug screen All the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodation.
